Mission: Build a Bridge Between Martial Arts and Business

Using my own arms and legs

Dear Stakeholders,

Today, I explored the intersection of martial arts, business, and storytelling, uncovering seven painful yet pivotal lessons:

1. Adapt to Your Audience:

I approached a real estate expert to discuss digital strategy, only to realize that his expertise didn’t align with what I was offering. It reminded me to tailor my approach and pace to the person I’m speaking with.

2. Knowledge is Currency:

In the academic and business worlds, knowledge needs to be structured, documented, and accessible. Whether it’s a book, video course, or app blueprint, each piece of information should serve a purpose and audience.

3. Start from the Beginning:

When teaching or explaining, always start at the foundation. Jumping ahead overwhelms others and risks losing valuable connections. Teaching is storytelling, and every good story begins with context.

4. Blueprinting, Not Building:

I don’t create apps—I create blueprints. My role is to develop frameworks for others to build upon, much like martial arts foundations that lead students to mastery.

5. Martial Arts as a Framework:

Martial arts are more than combat—they’re systems of learning and teaching. As martial artists, we are field scientists, researchers, developers, and experimenters. This perspective connects seamlessly with business.

6. The Business of Martial Arts:

Martial artists can make money through teaching, media, technology, and innovation. Each avenue requires mastery of a different skillset, from running classes and recording content to grant writing and app development.

7. My Mission:

I aim to integrate martial arts into education systems like math and science. By creating structured, scalable systems for martial arts education, I can connect the past, present, and future of martial arts with the digital world.

8th Bonus

At my core, I’m a martial artist—a warrior, scholar, and strategist. My mission is to teach, inspire, and empower through storytelling and innovation. Together, we can rewrite the story of martial arts and make it accessible for future generations.

Thank you for following along on this journey. Let’s continue to dream, build, and play.
